We had our wedding at The Alfond Inn on February 27th, 2022.
Originally we had hired Sprinkles to make our beautiful wedding cake. To my surprise, in late December we received communication that Sprinkles was being sold at the end of the year...
We were a big apprehensive about going with a new baker, without having had the opportunity to taste their cake.
Tru-cakes did not disappoint us!
Everything went to perfection. Our cake was absolutely as delicious as it was beautiful. Just what we were dreaming of! I saved our flowers and I just used them again this last weekend to adorn another small cake when some friends came over to celebrate our wedding here at our house in Miami.

Julie and Martha were amazing wedding bakers! We had a multicultural wedding, and Julie was so excited and open to coming up with custom made desserts for us with traditional ingredients that she has never used before. We really appreciated how flexible they were when we mentioned cultural ingredients. They treat you like family, and were an absolute pleasure to work with. They take the time to get to know what styles you may want for your cake decor, and have unique flavors besides the usual red velvet or vanilla. Because our desserts were unique, they stood by the dessert table all night during the reception (and even wore Indian outfits all night) and explained to our guests what the Indian and Filipino flavors were. Months later, people are still raving about the desserts/cake! My husband still craves her Ube cheesecake and Calamansi tarts! Definitely recommend Tru-Cakes!

Tru-Cakes took it over the top at my son's wedding. The wedding cake was beautiful & the cupcakes were astounding. But the service & attention to detail were beyond measure. These fabulous ladies went above & beyond any expectations to see that everything was both physically & visually perfect. When thinking back to this day I will always place their involvement in it as the best catering decision we could have ever made. Their care & attention to detail helped transform a once in a lifetime day into an even more spectacular one. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I found Tru-Cakes at a local wedding expo. I took one taste of their sample mini cupcakes and knew I had to find out more about this mother/daughter team! They were so friendly from the tasting all the way through the process of our wedding. Not only did they provide amazing flavors and designs, but their customer service was top notch! They even offered to do a second tasting since my fiancée was out of town, so he could get an idea of what our cake would be like. On our wedding day they arrived with a gorgeous cake that tasted amazing. It was such a hot day, but Julie and Martha were able to keep an eye on our cake to make sure it remained as gorgeous throughout the reception as when it arrived. Their concierge service was amazing and everyone loved being able to select which flavor they wanted. These ladies had such professionalism and customer service that they have even begun to feel like family. I would highly recommend Tru-Cakes to everyone for their special events. Their cakes are beautiful, taste amazing and their concierge service allows you to be carefree and have confidence in knowing they will take care of everything regarding the cake!

"From the moment I met this team of amazing ladies and tried their cake samples at a wedding expo, I was hooked! My husband and I aren't cake eaters, but Tru-Cakes made us change our minds. The consultation process was simple and well planned and they made the whole process stress free for us. The final product was absolutely stunning and the flavors were spot on. We had a three tier cake of cookies and cream, apple butter and red velvet and they did a wonderful job of decorating it to our Legend of Zelda theme. All in all a truly wonderful experience."

One of the most stressful parts about planning a wedding is finding vendors who make the planning process easier and can help you create exactly what you envision for your wedding day. Tru Cakes did exactly that since the moment we met them at a wedding expo! My husband and I tasted some samples at the expo and no other cakes could compare to the authentic and delicious taste created by Julie and Martha! We contacted Julie and secured a cake tasting where she let us try as many flavors of cake and icing combos as we wanted and sent us home with the extras! We came into our tasting meeting with a budget and Julie helped us maximize that budget and we ended up with not one, but four wedding cakes! Our guests loved the variety of our four flavors and we loved getting to create each cake based on our interests. Julie would contact us frequently to stay updated throughout the process and took our basic ideas to create masterpieces for our wedding day. Our four cakes were a huge hit, even two years later still getting compliments on what a cool idea it was and how delicious they were, all thanks to Julie and Martha. These wonderful ladies took an excitement for having delicious desserts at our wedding and turned it into one of the most memorable moments of the whole event. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make our wedding special. The cake still tasted just as good on our one year anniversary and we still love to order cupcakes to revisit our amazing day. Thank you to Tru Cakes for your creativity, professionalism, and goal of helping make our wedding day a truly unique day!

I highly recommend trucakes to everyone! I can’t thank them enough for lifting our spirits through the covid pandemic. Today on our would be wedding day they brought us our top tier wedding cake after having to cancel last minute. They truly care for their brides, not to mention their cakes taste amazing!!! First off, you must try their cakes, they are delicious. This duo was amazing, and served our cake with proper southern charm. I really had fun during the design process but more importantly the tasting. I did not have a set design for my cake but they helped us through the process by offering different techniques on how to do our cake. I knew I wanted sunflowers on my cake somewhere but was not sure how to design it. I am extremely happy with what they came up with for us and I couldn’t of asked for it any other way. Unlike most cake designers who set up the cake and then leave the cutting/serving to the caterer they stayed with us then cut and served the cake to our guest. They were always really quick to respond and I couldn’t of asked for a better cake.

Our dessert table was just beautiful and the cake was designed just as we specified. Better yet the cupcakes, cake and cake pops were delicious and the flavors were amazing!

They have been absolutely amazing in the wedding planning process! We came to them for cakes, and left with a wedding planner and florist too! They have been on top of everything, answer all my panic texts, and have been an invaluable resource for information and support. Her cakes are the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted and she’s made all our silly ideas (including a crazy donut grooms cake) seem totally doable! I can’t wait for Tru Cakes to help us with our wedding in a few months.

So we have had our first anniversary and we cut the top layer of our we we had frozen in the freezer and we have to tell you it was as good and fresh as our wedding day many thanks to Julie Truluck and Tru-cakes for our amazing cake I would recommend ladies to anyone who needs desserts for a special occasion thank you ladies.
